Voice / Lync Technical Architect Project Leadership Associates
Project Leadership Associates (PLA) is currently recruiting an experienced Voice/Lync Technical Architect to join our National Communication and Collaboration Solution Group. Candidates will use their current UC and VoiP expertise to assist PLA's customers with the design, development and deployment of Microsoft UC solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve escalated issues. Research problem information to proactively identify trends and potential sources of new problems while preventing the replication of issues within the environment.
Perform health checks in client environment on an annual basis, discovering potential improvements as well as possible opportunities for additional services.
Perform monthly reporting for each assigned client.
Assists in onboarding new clients as assigned.
Through continuous review, ensures all open incidents for assigned clients are being worked to resolution; escalates any aged issues to management as needed.
Assist in development and delivery of project / OAI activity in client environments as delegated by Senior Engineers and / or Management.
Updating Customer environment documentation
Mentorship of other Lync Engineer and Specialists
Overall coordination of Managed Services with Professional Services and development on an on going basis
Member and contributor to internal Lync Practice Advisory Council
5+ years? experience Supporting/Implementing Microsoft Lync, Exchange, Active Directory services
Certificates (public and private PKI)
TCP/IP and routing
Administration, Deployment of an OCS or Lync environment
Administration and Deployment of Exchange Unified Messaging
Enterprise Voice (Regular Expressions, Dial Plans, Voice Routing, Voice Policies)
Administrator or Deployment of gateway and SBC?s (examples: AudioCodes, NET, AcmePacket)
Third party PBX integration (Cisco, Avaya)
Third party video integration (examples: Tandberg/Cisco, Polycom, Radvision)
Networking and Firewall fundamentals
Network Monitor and/or Wireshark
Understanding of Hardware Load Balancers
Proven design, planning and implementation experience with Microsoft Lync or Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007 R2 with Enterprise Voice deployments.
Fundamental understanding of SIP, SIP Trunking, Active Directory and Windows Certificate Services.
Proven design, planning and implementation experience with Windows 2003 and 2008 server technologies.
Experience with VoIP deployment required.
Experience with third party media gateways required; Audiocodes, NE
Experience with Polycom video a plus
Experience with Call Center solutions a plus
Experience with Exchange Unified Messaging (UM) a plus
Five years minimum experience in telephony and infrastructure solutions
Two years minimum consulting experience
Proven written and presentation skills to various audiences
Certifications (required to obtain within first 6 months)
