POSITION: VP Business Continuity and Risk
LOCATION: Chicago, IL
The VP Business Continuity and Risk is responsible for maintaining and managing, and occasional development of, the company wide Business Continuity Program. The BC Program involves incident response, disaster recovery, office and department resumption plans, program policy and strategy, impact and risk assessments, training, crisis communications, maintenance and testing. The VP ensures effective controls are in place and will support all activities necessary to enable Envestnet to respond to a significant business disruption. The VP will also assist with managing/coordinating the Enterprise Wide Risk program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
?Develops, coordinates and maintains the Business Continuity Program including methodology that address regulatory, best practice and industry standards.
?Delivers enterprise, office and department level Business Continuity Plans that addresses prevention, incident response and business resumption.
?Administers contracts and service agreements with Business Continuity service providers.
?Develops and conducts the annual Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessments.
?Leads business units in determining critical business processes, identify acceptable recovery time periods, and establish resources required for the successful resumption of critical business in the event of a significant disruption.
?Develops mitigation/control gaps and recommendations and implement developments.
?Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary.
?Designs and conducts training sessions to provide employees with the specific information to perform roles and responsibilities in prevention, preparation, response and recovery.
?Plans, schedules and coordinates testing of critical resources including alternative site recovery, incident management and communications.
?Delivers preliminary training and information before testing and coordinates during tests.
?Supervises and schedules the reviews and maintenance to all components of the BCP and supporting documents.
?Provides 7x24 on-call support for any emergency.
REQUIREMENTS
?Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience required.
?2+ years experience in business continuity, operational IT, or disaster recovery processes.
?Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
?An understanding of processes, risks and controls.
?Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
?Highly developed interpersonal skills (tact, discretion) with ability to influence and build effective working relationships throughout the company and externally with customers, vendors and agencies.
?Strong project management skills.
?Self-starter with the ability to work within both a geographical diverse team and with great degree of autonomy.
?Excellent PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
?Travel and off-hour support required.
