VP, Business Development Zoosk

Zoosk is seeking a dynamic, experienced VP of Business Development. Reporting to the CEO of the company, the ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and results oriented. This individual will have a strong background in successful app distribution.
--The central objective of this role will be to have an immediate impact on distribution and revenue through having the Zoosk applications pre-installed on mobile and desktop sources, having them be featured in the iTunes store, the Google Marketplace and the Kindle store, etc. The right person for this role would have accomplished these specific objectives.--
The role will also secure distribution deals for Zoosk products through syndication with other websites. This individual will bring a strong background in sales and driving a strategy for growth.
Responsibilities:
Source and secure distribution deals for Zoosk applications to drive growth through partnerships, strategic alliances and syndication deals. Manage partner relationships to optimize consumer adoption and to drive revenue through the following:
Develop, maintain, and manage strategic relationships with app stores, syndication and distribution partners.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to exceed revenue and profitability goals.
Analyze regional markets and competitive product landscape to optimize market penetration and achieve sales and company objectives.
Manage and report on account activity, market development, sales negotiations, and strong pipeline management.
Establish and achieve quarterly and annual sales revenue targets.
Manage sales budget, expenditures, and appropriations for the department.
Success measured by number of new users and revenue generated from app distribution platforms and syndication.
Qualifications
Demonstrated strength in sales leadership, influence, negotiation, and communication at all levels within an organization
Experience in negotiating and partnering with the application distribution stores, and the mobile, telecom and consumer hardware industry.
Experience in negotiating and partnering with web properties for content/service syndication
Minimum of 10 years in sales and business development in a technology company.
Proven track record in closing high dollar distribution deals.
Established history of securing deals and building backlog pipeline.
Strong understanding of preparing and negotiating contract terms.
Experience with developing, maintaining and growing strategic customer accounts.
Bachelor?s degree required in engineering or business discipline.
Travel: up to 50% domestic and international.
