VP, Business Development, Shazam for TV Shazam
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Shazam is looking for an experienced leader in business development, based either in LA or NYC, to manage and develop relationships that will accelerate growth within our Shazam for TV business. As VP, Business Development and reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will work closely with senior leadership and product development teams to secure and develop strategic partnerships with major brands, broadcasters, advertisers and companies. You will be required to handle multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and effectively negotiate terms that benefit Shazam. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to leverage your strong understanding of the TV, high-tech, music, advertising and media industries inside a leading media engagement business, to structure innovative and impactful partnerships.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Take the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage strategic TV partnerships and deals that drive strong revenue growth that and support the strategic objectives of Shazam?s global business
Evaluate the economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships and work with appropriate leaders and across all functional areas of Shazam to execute on the relationships.
Build a world class BD team across our global business, acting as a talent magnet for Shazam
10+ years of strategic business development experience in TV, the Internet, media and high-tech industries
Experience within TV, mobile or Internet business models and web technologies
Experience identifying and executing successful partnerships and large scale deals, particularly in the ecommerce, online advertising, TV and digital media industries
Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements from scratch
Ability to think strategically, innovatively and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to influence others internally and externally
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
