VP, Corporate Communications Inrix
Develops and implements a comprehensive communications plan, with specific strategies and action plans to project a positive Company image to external constituents.
Owns developing a comprehensive direct-to-consumer plan for the Company?s consumer products.
Works with the Company?s traffic media division to maximize company awareness, branding and exposure with top media outlets around traffic-related stories of national or regional importance.
Manages the PR team to promote the Company?s visibility in local, national, and international markets by identifying newsworthy stories and pitching these to the appropriate media: print, radio, television, and Internet.
Manages relationships with the media and speaks directly for the Company in major media interviews and industry events.
Assists the CEO in preparing public speeches and other presentations.
Monitors coverage of the Company in newspapers, industry publications, blogs, etc. and recommends ways to improve the Company?s overall media effectiveness.
Assists in the preparation of Company overviews, briefing papers, brochures, talking points, annual reports, etc.
Act as a marketing evangelist for INRIX both internally and externally to increase brand awareness and ensure consistency between corporate, PR, and marketing communications
Represent INRIX at industry tradeshow speaking events, major media outlets, and publications for interviews to increase profile and brand recognition
Required Skillset
Bachelors degree in public relations, journalism or communications, preferably a MBA.
VP level experience overseeing a breadth of marketing communication responsibilities and as a key member of the executive team.
Startup, technology company experience developing appropriate levels of communications strategy.
Proven marketing success in B2C
Strong presentation, public speaking skills to a variety of audiences ? industry associations, trade groups, and major media outlets and publications
Proven ability to build and motivate teams to deliver on a global scale; understanding of cultural nuances
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
International market development experience, especially Europe, preferred
Willingness to travel at least 10% for customer events and partner meetings, globally
International experience required. Multilingual abilities are a plus.
