Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP, Marketing will play a critical role in improving overall brand awareness and customer experience, developing key business partnerships, increasing brand awareness and expanding customer acquisition and retention. This role will be responsible for leading marketing strategy through quantitative and qualitative research and a disciplined approach to strategy development.
Specifically, the VP, Marketing will have responsibility for positioning, sales enablement, customer lifecycle communication, public relations, branding, customer acquisition and retention, marcom, product marketing and creative services. In addition, the VP, Marketing will have specific responsibilities including:
Creating the overall marketing strategy
Creating a cohesive brand platform, value proposition, message architecture and compelling positioning
Creating brand awareness and acquisition campaigns
Creating a content strategy, including blogging, social media, papers and other thought leadership programs.
Redesign of our digital media, including the website.
Managing SEO and SEM programs, channel partnership programs, branding/public relations programs, and other customer acquisition and retention programs.
Improving customer loyalty, evangelism and retention, measurable by significantly increasing conversion and retention rates, and lifetime value.
Working closely with sales leadership to develop and implement sales tools.
Engaging with clients/partners to understand their needs and integrate and reflect these in the marketing plans
Marketing budgets and forecasts
He/she will be an excellent communicator, possessing high-energy and quantitative decision-making skills. In addition, the successful candidate for VP, Marketing role will have:
Minimum 8 years of marketing experience at internet companies
Minimum 3 years with ad tech related companies
Ability to work independently and deliver in timely fashion to objectives
Demonstrated leadership skills and management experience
Record of developing and implementing successful customer acquisition and retention/renewal strategies.
Successful experience building and transforming a brand.
Previous success in approaching marketing on a quantitative and data-oriented level
Excellent communication (written and verbal)
Experience building acquisition strategies and programs for both SMB customers and large brand advertisers would be ideal.
Experience building acquisition strategies and programs for online and mobile publishers would be ideal.
Digital/Ad Tech or Digital Ad Network experience
