The VP of Academic Affairs and Curriculum ? Business is responsible for the administration of the company?s academic programs and the ongoing strategic program development of existing and potential university partners in the field of Business; the retention of high quality faculty; and the Higher Education Department?s support of teams within the company.
The successful candidate will have experience in the leadership of academic programs in business with both traditional and online programs/faculty/students; a strategic thinker who will position the Business degree programs ahead of the market demand curve; practical business operational leadership experience; evidence of ability to work with business leaders for networking and experiential learning opportunities; experience developing and evaluating business-related curricula; and proven ability to manage budgeting processes.
Key objectives for This Role:
Develop and implement a strategic plan to drive marketing direction and grow the online Business degree programs.
Drive online degree program growth and quality to maximize partner universities? online offerings.
Lead in the development, growth and maintenance of quality oversight for each university partner?s undergraduate and graduate curriculum and instructional programs.
Serve as the Higher Education Department?s liaison to and an academic resource for partner universities.
Conduct the academic review of programs offered by proposed partner universities with a specific focus on the quality and market demand of these programs.
Recruit and support the adjunct faculty.
Ensure that each faculty member is fully informed and has confirmed understanding of his/her responsibilities and the company?s expectations and verify periodically that those responsibilities and expectations are being effectively met.
Work in collaboration with each partner university and the Assistant Faculty Manager in making faculty course assignments.
On-going faculty performance reviews and development and delivery of faculty professional development.
Company & Compliance
Advise and develop strategies for partners and HotChalk to stay within compliance of State Higher Education Commissions and Regional and Program Specific (CCNE) Accrediting bodies.
Clear understanding of the regulatory environment as it pertains to managing online programs.
Facilitate targeted and ongoing training of Enrollment Specialists.
Collaborate with and provide information and support to departments within the company; e.g., Admissions, Student Services, and Marketing.
Responsible for various procedural processes? review and approval conducted by partner universities and departments within the company.
Assist in all company promotional efforts for new programs.
Contribute to the effective team management of all relevant problems, issues and opportunities.

Proven leadership of academic programs in business with both traditional and online programs
Experience and expertise in Distance Education and online learning in Business required
Master?s degree in Business required; Doctorate preferred
Expertise in curriculum and program development in Business
Demonstrated significant administrative experience at an accredited institution
Proven collaborative and leadership skills working within an academic setting
Proven record of recruiting, retaining, developing, and supporting high performance faculty and staff
Clear understanding of the regulatory environment as it pertains to managing online programs
Previous teaching experience is desired
Excellent writing, editing, public speaking and communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Highly adaptable, flexible
Works with a sense of pride and urgency
MS Office ? Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; WebEx
Higher Education Instructional experience preferred
Business-to-business experience required
