VP of Finance and Controller MediaNet Digital.

MediaNet is the leading global digital music technology platform powering music and media delivery for the some of the most recognizable digital media companies including Google, Tesco, MOG, Playlist.com, Kazaa, Turntable.FM and more. Our versatile platform and catalogue of over 16 million tracks enables our partners to deliver any digital music service experience imaginable to their customers on any platform and in any format including streaming, downloads, interactive and non-interactive radio, discovery, recommendations, images, and much more. The MediaNet Controller and VP of Finance will be a hands on, straight shooting, high energy team player who is curious, wants to learn as well as teach, and is proactive self-starter able to quickly earn respect and confidence. The right candidate is detail oriented, driven and impatient. He or she is frugal but practical in balancing cash management with the requirements of the business.
Some Key Responsibilities include:
Cost Accounting/Budgeting/Cash Flow Management/KPI/GL/AP/AR/PR/Report Writers
Internal Controls/Cost Controls/Establish Best Practice and Policies and Procedures
Microsoft Office proficiency/MAS90 Experience a plus
Software System Implementation Experience - awareness of how accounting systems are table driven etc.; the importance of documentation, cross-training.
Skills/Requirements/Qualifications:
Broad experience across the range of finance functions, including reporting. Recent focus of prior work experience is in a fast paced, small (up to $50 million) technology company, with change as a constant, including rapid growth and/or adversity.
Proven experience of tightly managing costs and cash flow effectively. A very strong passion for analysis aimed at adding value through solving problems and identifying opportunities.
Outstanding financial modeling skills a must. An understanding of how figures and data add context and value to decisions
Executes effectively and with urgency based on experience; embraces challenges with a "whatever it takes" approach, and seeks professional growth and advancement as a manager able to see the bigger picture.
Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO on a broad range of business issues and communicate effectively as a key member of the management team up and down the organization.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experiences; accounting degree or CPA; MBA a plus not a necessity
