VP of Marketing & Product Management Liaison Technologies
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Liaison Technologies is looking for an energetic Vice President of Marketing who would be responsible for developing awareness and interest in Liaison Technologies and our suite of software products and managed service solutions to support aggressive corporate growth targets. Success will be measured by sales pipeline, press and analyst recognition and company financial results. Additionally, The Vice President of Marketing leads a team that develops and executes the right portfolio of marketing programs to optimize the efficiency of lead generation thereby pipeline growth. Utilizing both traditional marketing outlets (advertising, events, direct marketing, public relations, website optimization and pay-per-click programs) and emerging approaches to generating awareness (wikis, blogs, podcasts, viral campaigns), the Marketing team will develop the budget allocation and lead goals associated with each program while testing and course correcting through the process of execution.
The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for turning Liaison Technologies into a recognized brand in the marketplace and verticals so chosen to compete in. In addition to building the portfolio of repeatable lead generation programs, this requires a focus on public relations and analyst relations. The Vice President of Marketing, together with the Marketing team, is accountable for generating consistent press and analyst coverage, securing speaking engagements for company spokespeople, and ensuring that each and every interaction with these audiences is positive, on-message, and consistent with company goals.
The Vice President of marketing also has responsibility for the product and solution management function. This area of responsibility includes internal and external (client facing) product and solution roadmaps, competitive product analysis and product positioning, as well as participating in the annual product development planning cycle.
With a seat at the senior team table, the Vice President of Marketing will participate in crafting corporate strategy as it relates to brand identity, solution portfolio, and solution positioning. As the owner of Product Marketing, the Vice President of Marketing manages solution offerings, packaging, and pricing. With the company?s P&L objectives and top-line growth targets as a backdrop, the portfolio of services is designed, pricing is set, and messaging, positioning, and sales tools are created and deployed to the field with associated supporting marketing campaigns and awareness building programs.
The Vice President of Marketing will be expected to stay abreast of the competitive landscape and utilize market information to influence messaging and positioning, sales tools, and recommendations around solution strategy and new markets. The Marketing organization should be the source of competitive intelligence that is utilized in the field on a daily basis. Conduct detailed customer research into how Liaison?s cloud-based services are being used currently and can in the future be used, across existing customers and vertical markets.
Required Skills and Experience
10+ years of progressive strategic work experience in marketing, product marketing, marketing operations/support, events or related field, marketing communications, and marketing management is required. Minimum 5+ year?s management and marketing leadership experience with proven ability to lead a team to deliver objectives on time and on budget.
Bachelor?s degree in technology, marketing, or business is expected. MBA or Master?s Degree in related fields is preferred.
Must work effectively with Senior-level management, leaders and staff of matrix organizations. Ability to directly or indirectly influence and lead cross-business unit and/or cross-functional teams. Clearly convey ideas and information with all levels of the organization.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated recognized leadership in one or more technology domains linked to or complimentary with Liaison?s offerings. Candidates should have impeccable communication skills and experience consulting to and on behalf of mid-level and senior company executives and business stakeholders at client organizations.
Experience in developing and managing a global marketing budget in excess of $10M.
Creative thinker with strong conceptualization skills.
Proven track record in successfully executing and implementing high impact marketing strategies that resulted in significant new market opportunities.
Knowledge and experience marketing solutions in the following areas: B2B Integration, master data management, Supply Chain Automation, cloud based (SaaS) platform offerings.
An exposure to product management within a software or software services company is essential. Experience of running the function would be ideal.
Proven successful track record of defining, developing, pricing, and launching high value software and service solutions.
Experience in developing, administering a product or service branding strategy and associated execution of such programs including client facing solution roadmaps.
Proven ability to run successful press and industry analyst relationships.
Participation as a key player on a small, cohesive senior management team, where dedication, integrity, and hands on experience were core requirements.
Hands-on Manager with the ability to thrive under the pressure of constant change and demanding customers.
Mature, seasoned and resourceful leader who must be able to work effectively at all levels. Excellent interpersonal skills will be required to build strong relationships to lead and unify the global organization.
Strong stature and presence. Must be highly credible both internally and with business partners and investors. Must have an outstanding reputation within the software or services sector.
Travel readiness up to 20%.
