Allegro seeks to hire a Vice President of Marketing based in our Dallas headquarters. This role is a key leadership position reporting to our CEO and managing a lean marketing team. The VP of Marketing will create the strategic marketing plan that supports achievement of our revenue goals. We are seeking a charismatic, visionary, strategic leader with a proven track record of building, motivating and driving results through a successful marketing team.
Challenges of the position include:
Define the appropriate marketing organization, resources and budget for the company?s maturity/size and revenue goals.
Be a role model for the company culture and values.
Strategic planning including corporate positioning and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and market/customer penetration plans.
Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, analyst and market research management, and website design and content.
Define and direct marketing programs for demand creation, lead generation and engage with sales for lead tracking and management.
Support programs to gain customer insight, improve customer satisfaction, drive customer engagement and customer retention.
Work closely with sales to develop sustainable channel and partner strategies and programs.
Methodically conduct and deliver research for product requirements, product pricing, and product positioning.
Deliver product launch management, including sales training and education, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis, press releases, customer communications, and more to support successful product launches.
Work with the alliances team to identify, cultivate and develop strategic alliances.
Develop and track metrics, KPI?s and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities.
Act as spokesperson for the company with press and analysts and at industry events.
Ensure that the Allegro brand achieves optimal recognition as an ETRM leader with industry analysts and the media.
Key Interactions:
This position is a key member of the executive management committee and works closely with the CEO, Sales, Finance, Customer Support , R&D, HR, and Legal. Certain key interactions include the following:
Works with the CFO to establish and maintain an annual marketing budget which shall describe in detail the marketing costs necessary to grow organic sales in accordance with the Company?s strategic plan
Works with Sales management to ensure marketing initiatives, branding programs and industry and customer events result in significant and measurable lead generation that is in direct alignment to the sales revenue plans
Works closely with the product development steering committee, R&D leadership, product management and other key leadership members to offer customer insight and thought leadership into product roadmap and product development priorities and product launch priorities
Works with the Vice President of Human Resources and Education to establish and maintain an ongoing performance review and assessment process, and training, talent development programs for all Marketing team members
Works with the Chief Customer Officer to create ongoing and sustainable customer programs that drive insight into the customer experience, measure customer referencability, and tracks and responds to customer feedback
Qualifications for consideration:
10 years marketing experience in comparable industries with 4 years in a senior management position in technology or software companies, preferably with experience in energy.
Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.
A proven track record having profitably grown a business and having developed and implemented the appropriate policies and processes necessary to drive and manage a business.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environment.
Performance management, a metrics based approach and a strong results orientation is essential, and s/he has demonstrated a commitment to long-term success through a consistent focus on the customer and on the best possible use of resources in the marketing function.
S/he will be a consummate leader and will have a proven ability to inspire teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate true leadership ability and have strong cross-functional and team-building skills with an ability to manage effectively up, down and across an organization.
Ability to work alongside individual team members as a day-to-day partner in moving the business forward, holding reports accountable for achieving marketing objectives.
Demonstrated his/her ability to upgrade and develop an organization via recruiting, training and performance management.
This leader will inspire confidence in both internal and external constituencies via the credibility that comes from his/her presence and past experience/achievements. S/he will be able to communicate effectively with the various constituencies.
Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills are also desired along with strong time management, organizational and analytical skills. S/he will have the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Education:
An undergraduate degree is required; appropriate graduate degree and/or advanced managerial continuing education will be a plus.
