Our Sales team is a dynamic group that plays a vital role in educating business owners on our product and bringing them on board to manage and grow their businesses while our Customer Experience team trains our clients and provides continued customized support. Supporting the entire infrastructure of our product is the Technology team responsible for developing and building functionality that keeps us ahead of the tech scene curve.
We are looking for a VP of Product to provide hands-on leadership of our product and user experience team and drive our product roadmap. This high visibility role provides an opportunity to interact with customers, partners, and internal teams. You'll work closely with executive management to develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for both the short and long term.
The product team are the spokespeople for the Booker Platform. Your team defines context (strategy, assumptions, objectives and metrics), creates and socializes the product roadmap, and leads the execution against it. As the VP, Product, you make timely decisions and eliminate barriers so that your team can operate as efficiently and cohesively as possible. You define and utilize process when necessary, but you also appreciate freedom and informality that allows the product team to quickly and creatively make an impact. Previous experience with SaaS platforms is preferred. This role will report directly to the COO.
Responsibilities:
Become an expert on the Booker Platform
Work with the executive team to define the product roadmap, prioritizing features according to business objectives
Manage the team that determines and drives overall product requirements, constructs user stories, builds wireframes
Collaborate and develop relationships with Booker?s customer base to understand key product requirements and market drivers
Work with the product marketing team to analyze the competitive landscape, create positioning and determine pricing to drive product-level go-to-market strategy
Work with the engineering team to specify and scope features
Manage the product life cycle from conception through release and iteration
Understand the technical ramifications of product requests. We are an engineering driven organization, so while you won?t have to code, you will need to work closely with engineers
Translate marketing requirements and feature requests into PRDs and implementation plans
Engaging closely with the engineering, sales and customer experience teams and assuming the role of a key member of the Executive Team, helping to take on the toughest challenges and to help determine the best technical and product solutions
Constructively challenging the conventional wisdom or accepted way of doing things, while always looking for ways to innovate
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in technology/online product management (ideally SaaS), UI development and management of complex, dynamic applications
Extraordinary ability to collaborate with and inspire technical and non-technical departments, as well as customers and other external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to lead complex Product and strategic initiatives
Proven ability to identify and prioritize areas for product development by analyzing customer requirements and feedback, as well as industry trends
Deep technical understanding and business acumen
Ability to evaluate and articulate tradeoffs and to allocate resources to meet customer and business needs
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Significant experience working with usability & user interface designers and software developers
Experience managing, recruiting and mentoring an all-star product team
