The accomplished individual must have a strong passion for production operations, lean & continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and controls the day to day activities of the US production facilities.
- Ensures that the operation is in alignment with customer and corporate expectations on quality, timeliness, and costs.
- Establishes objectives and procedures governing the performance of the operation of all facilities and business units.
- Specifies, defines, champions, and manages projects related to process improvement, equipment evaluation and installation, cost reduction, etc.
- Works in coordination with engineering and software teams to develop new workflow and tools as needed.
- Leads managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with organization and company strategy.
- Maintains a clean, safe work environment, in compliance with all OSHA requirements.
- Reviews and understands weekly and monthly financial results and manages deviations from forecast as needed.
Position Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business field is required; MBA is a plus.
- A minimum of 10+ years senior operations management experience overseeing multiple facilities.
- Experience in the printing industry is preferred; but, not required.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is required.
- Proven track record of applying the DMAIC method and delivering measurable operational and financial improvements.
- Outstanding leadership skills with a track record of developing individuals and teams.
- Strong analytical skills and a record of using these skills in continuous improvement efforts.
- Must be results-oriented with a strong performance, cost management and bottom-line orientation.
- Strong strategic planning abilities are a must.
- Demonstrated track record of setting clearly defined goals, and driving a team to meet and exceed these goals.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules as workload and projects warrant.
- Available to travel to all US and International facilities with little or no advance notice.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must read, speak, and understand English fluently; Bi-lingual a plus.
- Strong, well-developed interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate and work with a very diverse group of personalities and cultures.
