Responsibilities
As a VP of Product Management with BitTorrent, you?ll create and evangelize a transformative vision for BitTorrent?s products and services. You?ll leverage your unique blend of consumer and technical savvy and insight to define the product and go-to-market strategy by building value added opportunities that will continue to reshape the Internet and how users embrace distributed technologies.
Specific responsibilities include:
Recruiting, motivating, mentoring, coaching, developing, and retaining a high performing product management team; Providing exceptional product management direction, driving execution and collaboration between product, user experience, and engineering
Collaborating with engineering, marketing, executive leadership, and customers to build groundbreaking products
Defining the KPI?s for business performance (revenue, market share, number of active users, etc.)
Identifying new market opportunities for BitTorrent in distributed computing; Champion strategic initiatives to deliver groundbreaking products
Driving understanding of market size and potential, and customer buying behavior. Translate these market trends into a compelling product vision and direction
Creating product plans to translate this vision into reality; Leading the organization through the entire product development cycle, from initial definition to GA, delivering products on schedule, on budget with high quality
Preferred Experience
Ideal candidates will posses a strong combination of the following experience:
Bachelor?s in Business or Computer Science and/or similar work experience (MBA preferred)
10+ years product management experience within technology companies
5+ years successfully managing a product management team (ideally leading a team of 8 or more)
Possesses an outstanding track record of success in delivering disruptive new products in a new category
Solid reputation as a thought leader and excellent communicator of product vision
Strong interpersonal and communication/presentation skills; Excellent listening and negotiation skills
Familiarity with BitTorrent ecosystem; Keen awareness of technology trends and potential influence on BitTorrent?s user community
