VP, Sales East and South AddThis
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We are looking for VP, Sales to lead our East and South Digital Ad Sales team. This position is a senior Sales leadership position within the Media Services Sales team, and will play a critical role in helping to position AddThis as a category leader with agencies and advertisers. The VP Sales will be responsible for growing major advertising agency and direct client revenues and achieve/exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets. The desired candidate will be well established selling online audience, behavioral targeting and data solutions. Exposure to content marketing a plus. He/she will be experienced in strategic account and consultative selling, and be comfortable selling to all levels within the Agency and client, and must have experience hiring, dev eloping, managing, coaching and mentoring a team of Account Executives and Directors of all levels. This position will have the opportunity for career grow which may include leading the national sales team.
The VP Sales will report to the COO
Meet or Exceed revenue targets on a consistent basis
Lead high quality sales, sales management and forecasting plans and processes
Hands on, working leader that can recruit, train and develop a high performing Sales team. Player/Coach role
Drive and maximize revenue growth with top advertising agencies and with clients directly
Prospect and develop new business within territory; develop lasting business relationships that lead to renewable business
Plan and execute high impact meetings, sales proposals and solutions for prospects and customers resulting in significant contracts and recurring business opportunities including Upfront and annual agreements
Engage decision makers and influencers at all levels
Bring to market an evolving set of product capabilities
Communicate emerging market needs and requirements for product development
Strong and detailed knowledge of both online branding and performance campaign models, media industry trends, technologies, product and pricing knowledge.
At least eight years of online advertising sales experience with prior experience in behavioral, audience targeting or online data sales preferred ; knowledge of content based marketing approaches a plus
Excellent understanding of agency dynamics and campaign buying or planning
Strong rolodex of agency and client contacts verticals?
Five years leading and managing an online media sales team in a coach/player type environment
Proven record of strategic sales development; sold and managed at least $20 MM in annual online advertising spend.
Proven ability to take charge, lead and motivate
Proven excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a dynamic team oriented environment
