Vice President, Total Rewards
Manage HR and Compensation policies, infrastructure, and processes to support the culture of Gilt.
Facilitate meetings, recommended solutions, and manage decision items for executive management and the Compensation Committee.
Preside over Executive Benefits Committee.
Generate executive and board level management presentations for compensation and benefits.
Manage staff of 6, responsible for compensation and benefits design/administration, HR systems, contractor management, compliance, reporting, stock administration, visa administration, recruiting and learning systems, and overall HR process.
Work with HR Generalists to support employee needs, and bring solutions through use of data, technology, or compensation/benefit programs.
Partner with accounting organization to manage and improve HRIS and Payroll workflows.
Continuously improve HR technology infrastructure to automate processes, implement web-based self-service features, and minimize administrative overhead.
Establish and/or strengthen relationships with key HR vendors to maximize value for the services they provide.
Partner with finance organization to capitalize on HR data to analyze, forecast, and report on employee related expenses.
Once public, responsible for all HR related SOX compliance and external reporting documentation (i.e. Compensation tables and CD&A for Proxy statements). Also responsible for responding to and passing external audits.
Collaborate with internal and external counsel to continuously improve HR practices and policies to ensure maximum protection for the company.
Manage capital and operating budget for HR Operations, including benefit and compensation accruals/expenses.
Requirements
Minimum 10-15 years experience in an HR Operations role. Ideal candidate will have deep expertise in executive compensation, benefits design and negotiation, and HR Systems.
Both public and private experience desired, but public company experience is strongly preferred.
Must be a team player and boast ?can do attitude?, and be able to forge great relationships both within and outside the HR team.
Must have demonstrated executive presence, and comfortable with presenting at an executive/board level.
An ideal candidate will also have a practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving and thrive in fast-paced environment, tempered by an appreciation of complexity and risk.
Candidate should demonstrate strong business acumen, and be able to quickly learn and understand the financials and operational levers of each business within Gilt. This is especially important when designing sales incentive planes and other incentive compensation programs.
The ideal candidate will have a mix of the following experience: Executive compensation experience including preparing Board Compensation Committee materials, Public company experience or consulting background from a major HR/Compensation Consultancy.
