Manage the overall success of VTM and the Operational Excellence and Transformation projects by providing clear direction and project scope requirements. Work with various internal teams and external vendors in defining the overall success path including detailed work break down structure, benefits realizations, time and cost elements, risk assessments, UAT, delivery/acceptance and post project follow-up. Projects managed will vary in time and complexity and focus on data or related areas.
Essence of Role ? Key Accountabilities and Duties
1. Impact on the Business
Manage and deliver input to detailed project plans including: objectives, scope, benefits, risks and delivery.
Create technical and business plans to support both the process and function that is impacted.
Maximize planned project benefits.
Accomplish goals assigned by management
2. Customers, Suppliers and Third Parties
Proactively deliver project information and updates to key stakeholders across Quickcomm and VGE.
Leverage vendor?s services and products to deliver the support required to achieve strategic goals of the Operational Excellence and Transformation team.
Mitigate project risks through identification of potential failure points in the process.
Maintain high standards of professionalism and be customer centric at all times.
3. Leadership and Teamwork
Lead and motivate high profile program teams to successfully deliver programs within agreed time scales, assigned budget and to high quality standards.
Work together with the operational functional area teams in both TEM and VGE organization to ensure alignment, continuity, and communication in support of strategic Operational Excellence and Transformation goals and objectives.
Achieve Operational Excellence and Transformation objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
4. Innovation and Change
Manage and deliver projects on time, within agreed budget and to required quality level, and within project scope, including delivery of expected benefit definitions.
Welcome the introduction of new solutions and ideas and utilize them into new ways of successful working.
5. Knowledge and Experience
Use personal experience and knowledge of project management techniques to facilitate the delivery of the TEM Op program.
Responsible for project approvals, presentations, status reports, and business cases.
Gather details and perform the business analysis in order to support the Operational Excellence and Transformation programs.
Manage and minimize all risks and issues associated with projects managed.
Prepare and complete project plans and change management and apply best practice methodology.
Ensure the correct messages are shared with the internal stakeholders (Central Billing Team, Commercial team, Group Technology Vodafone OpCos, Partners and Affiliates, 3rd party technology providers) of projects in a suitable frequency.
Technical / Professional Expertise
Successful track record of Project Managing complex inter-company initiatives.
A self-starter with a determination to succeed, who is balanced with appropriate tact and diplomacy.
Strong understanding of CSSO and Quickcomm functional areas.
Strong communication, listening, conflict management, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Enthusiastic and able to multi-task, able to influence across cultures and styles.
Management of multiple stakeholders, with a range of cultural backgrounds, frequently with English as a second language.
Experience of detailed data analysis.
Experience in change management.
Billing and data mining experience.
Educated to degree level.
Exposure to commercial management contractual negotiation experience.
Ability to lead in high-growth, high-uncertainty environments.
Multi-lingual skills advantageous.
Vodafone Operating Company, Partner and Affiliate knowledge advantageous.
