Summary of Functions:
Ensure a safe and positive work environment in accordance with company policy and state/local standards.
Responsible for supervising functions and personnel to ensure cost effective, efficient and safe receipt, processing, and movement of goods and Ensures that materials shipped and received are verified against pertinent documentation. Ensure inventory accuracy. Create and maintain a safe working environment. Operate, maintain, and coordinate preventive maintenance on all equipment. Recommend changes, assist in implementing, and author operating procedures. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment. Promote continual improvement within the operation.
Leading and prioritizing work flow: Provide direct guidance and leadership of warehouse associates to ensure safe, efficient, and clean operation of the warehouse. Maintain schedules and assignments to ensure efficient operation.
Leading Associate Teams: Apply clear communication and motivational techniques in guiding and coaching employees. Train all new hires and ensure that existing associates are up-to-date with latest revisions of work instructions. Supervise personnel in accordance with established policies and procedures which may include recommendation for hiring, disciplinary action, performance evaluation, training, work allocation and problem resolution.
Operations: Be available to employees to answer questions, evaluate operations and solve problems. Respond to inquiries and research and resolve problems related to transactions. Serve as liaison with other personnel in the resolution of administrative and operational issues.
Equipment: Review all equipment according to company policy to ensure utilization in a safe and efficient manner. Coordinate maintenance needs.
Communication: Interact with all management to deliver superior customer service to our client. Attend all warehouse meetings and weekly staff meetings. Supervisor is responsible for accuracy/tracking and communication of all disciplinary protocols and making sure associates understand their current standing and ramifications of next step.
Documentation/Reporting: Ensure that all records/reports are completed on time and consistently maintained. Understand and aid in the achievement of operating goals and standards. Supervisors are responsible for accuracy of all time-keeping for their assigned associates within Kronos. Ensure that all controlled documents are current and accurate per our quality system. Run and maintain various reports in support of departmental and site metrics.
Quality: Ensure that employees are trained on applicable job functions, safety procedures, and follow New Breed Quality policy and mission statement.
Safety and Security: Train and maintain the workplace operations standard. Review Warehouse operations daily to ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed. Operate in compliance with OSHA, state, and local code/standards. Lead Safety investigations.
Inventory Management: Ensure and maintain accurate stock in the warehouse in accordance with established inventory control processes.
Other duties as directed by site or corporate leadership.
