Position Title: Warranty Data Analyst
Description of Work:
Extract and perform advanced statistical analysis on all available warranty related data. Identify and report warranty waste and overall dealer warranty performance. Identify investigate, and report anomalies, spikes, high cost areas, and any dealer warranty activities determined to be out-of-line with the goal of reducing warranty waste.
Extract Warranty data from mainframe using common programming languages (SQL, JCL, QMF, COBOL, etc.)
Extract Warranty data from the Warranty Information System (WIS), the Warranty Decision Support System (WDSS), and the Field Connect system using the front end tools provided
Manipulate raw data into useable formats for analysis and reporting using Microsoft Access and Excel
Create and present detailed reports showing results of warranty data analysis and suggestions for performance improvement
Bachelor?s Degree required, with emphasis on both applied mathematics/statistics and computer science. Courses and/or experience in Management, Finance, and/or Accounting a plus.
Must be experienced with the use of all Microsoft Office tools, specifically but not limited to Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in the statistical analysis of data required. Automotive related experience a plus.
Exceptional communication, presentation and leadership skills
Proficient in use of Corporate Desktop Software Applications, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access
Strong organizational skills
Understanding of Dealership business processes and systems a plus.

Must be able to strategize, analyze, interpret and summarize results
Highly motivated, self-starting individual with a willingness to work in a dynamic environment with time constraints
Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, capable of distilling complex financial data into easily understandable explanations
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Mathematics, Computer Information Systems or a computer-related field from an AACSB accredited university
Proven written and oral communication skills
Possess strong analytical/presentation skills and have good interpersonal skills
Ability to succinctly explain financial forecast and implications of operational execution and timing
SAS Programming knowledge
