The Helper assists the collection driver in his day to day tasks. Those tasks consist of daily collection of curbside trash, yard waste and/or recycling. The helper and driver work as a team to provide outstanding customer service while working safely and efficiently within the scope of the job.Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Collection of trash, yard waste and/or recycling.
Guide driver in and out of awkward situations such as tight alleys and driveways.
Obtain information about addresses for reporting needs.
Helping the Driver direct traffic.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications):
Must have a Valid WA Drivers License with a clean record.
Must be able to lift 65 lbs repetitively.
Must be able to move with purpose up to 4 miles per day.
Must have good communication skills.
Ability to read and write English required. Must be able to interpret maps.
Must have basic computer knowledge.
Must be able to follow directions.
Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
Available to work all shifts including weekends.
Ability and willingness to work FLEXIBLY, under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Strong ability to rapidly learn and work with new systems.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
