CleanScapes, a Recology company in Seattle is currently looking for a Waste Zero Specialist 1.
The Waste Zero Specialist?s essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Manage and implement contract requirements and programs related to outreach/education collateral, customer education, annual customer contacts, and increased recycling/compost participation rates.
Oversee City annual report preparation and updates/status reports and presentations to Cities.
Organize and conduct programs and presentations to community groups, schools, businesses and civic organizations.
Coordinate community events and respond to donation requests from community/charitable organizations.
Serve as the primary contact for the City Contracts Manager in the cities we serve.
Represent CleanScapes at regional business and civic organizations and in the cities we serve.
Maintain regular contact and excellent relationships with the designated City Contract Manager(s) and ensure that issues are resolved to the satisfaction of the City and CleanScapes.
Monitor contract compliance and ensure compliance for all non-operations functions.
Enhance CleanScapes brand by contributing solid waste knowledge and expertise to industry publications, conferences and other communication opportunities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor?s degree preferred.
Two years of project management experience preferred.
Two years of experience in outreach and education.
Strong interest in waste reduction, recycling and resource conservation.
Excellent writing skills, exceptional organization skills, and a professional demeanor.
Commitment to providing exemplary service with uncompromising integrity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work through conflicts with openness.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with others in a team environment.
Ability to achieve results with a focus on innovation, problem solving, and action.
Valid Class C driver?s license required.
