Water Conservation Internship (unpaid, for course credit) HydroPoint Data Systems

This internship is designed to give a broad range of responsibilities and experience in a professional, dynamic environment; the intern can expect to work in many areas including customer service, water analysis, and business services and related duties.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Assist with customer monitoring
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to perform analysis of various water use accounts for major residential and non-residential customers
- Research water conservation programs
- Investigate water rate increases and schedules
- Review, evaluate, and process rebate applications for water efficient landscape irrigation equipment
- Prepare concise correspondence, reports, and office memorandums
- Draft letters of request to water agencies and customers for water bill information
- Project research for potential install sites
- Collaborating with internal and external team members
- Perform related duties as required
Requirements:
- Have a junior/senior college level standing in public relations, marketing, business administration, environmental studies, economics, or related field
- Possess knowledge, or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Excellent analytical abilities
- He/she should be a creative, independent worker, who is well-organized and dependable
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Enjoy detail work where high degree of accuracy is required
- Enjoy the environment of a small, fast-paced organization
- Have an interest in water resource and water conservation field.
