The Job
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience Fabricating production parts using water cutting, milling, shearing, bending and other applicable processes.
- Set up and operate individual jobs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
- Use design and layouts to operate a high-pressure abrasive water jet machine to cut and trim parts and materials from an assortment of materials, according to specifications.
- Measures dimensions of finished part using measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Perform inspection on parts.
- Experience conducting equipment checks and maintenance at proper intervals.
- Ability to maintain and insure that all associated documentation is accurate.
- Ability to audit use of safety devices, equipment and general production floor housekeeping.
- Responsible for conforming to the company's quality system procedures as documented.
- Ability to track all work performed and record in manufacturing order as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma at minimum.
- 5-10 years of experience operating Water Jet equipment.
- Flow and Flow Path software experience preferred.
- 5 Axis Water Jet cutting experience is highly preferred.
- Programming experience with sheet metal parts.
- Experience working in aerospace production strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using measurement tools (scales, calipers, and others).
- Basic math skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be open to working 2nd shift hours, weekends, and overtime, as needed.
