We're Hiring | Build and Release Manager / Master

Responsibilities:

The Build and Release manager will be handling the Build and Configuration Management systems for ServiceNow, including:

• Leading the selection and deployment of a modern version control system
• Improving and maintaining the build system and the integrations with the ServiceNow systems (defect tracking, project management etc) as well as 3rd party tools e.g. Code Review systems
• On going management of the source code for parallel releases and multiple branches developed across three major locations
• Closely work with Development and QA to integrate, manage and track the results of the automated unit tests and system tests executed as part of the nightly build process
• Coach and train the development organization around source code management and build best practices

Skills:

• Software development background, Java, C/C++ or similar
• Comprehensive, hands-on, knowledge of configuration management systems
  
  • GIT and Perforce in particular
  • Experience in CVS and CVS migrations is a plus
  • Proven experience in complex development environment
• Proven experience with build management systems (Maven, Ant etc)
• Proven experience with build servers (Hudson, Jenkins etc)
• Hands on experience in shell and script programming
• Familiar with system programing and web protocols
• Familiar with key QA testing concepts, reporting and bug tracking
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and self-directed
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Team player. Proactive, positive approach
• Strong personal commitment to quality

Experience:

The ideal candidate is a will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role, in a company delivering software products to end users. College degree in Computer Science is a big plus. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
