Responsibilities:

The lead developer will be a key member of a very strong team of developers working on the modernization of the Web UI infrastructure of the company's SaaS applications. The Web UI infrastructure includes dynamic pages generation, graphical workflow and orchestration editors, CMS, advanced charting and analytics visualization, cutting edge social widgets such as Live Feed, Chat and many more advanced Web UI capabilities. The new San Jose based Web UI team will be focusing on innovating and improving the ServiceNow Web UI, pushing the envelope in terms of usability, design, performance, flexibility and social capabilities.

Skills:

• Very strong coding capabilities, hacking mentality
• Proven very large scale Web software development experience
• Good sense for UI design
• Strong UI programming skills â€" strives for pixel-perfect UI
• Expert in Web UI, JavaScript, JQuery or similar JS frameworks
• Strong knowledge of HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS
• HTML5 and HTML5 canvas - a big plus
• Knowledge of Java and server side technologies
• Able to refactor massive code
• Team player, proactive, positive approach
• Strong personal commitment to quality
• Experience dealing with customers and end-users
• Understanding of IT service management and the ITIL business process â€" a plus

Experience:

Experience The ideal candidate is a proven developer with 5+ years of experience of delivering software products to end users. College degree in Computer Science is a big plus. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
