Who We Want:
The Social Analytics Team is dedicated to maximizing client adoption, value, and ROI for our rapidly growing list of Fortune-class clients. This highly visible position will help drive business decision-making by educating and informing key business stakeholders on web metrics terminology, concepts, trends, insights, and recommendations as it pertains to Social Commerce. The Web Analytics Strategist provides internal and client-facing quantitative and qualitative analysis of Bazaarvoice's hosted, online community solutions. With your analytical skills and marketing and statistics know-how, you will drive the development of social commerce measurement solutions and define the measurement strategy, vision, and requirements needed to support client business objectives and improve decision-making processes for Bazaarvoice?s client portfolio. Your job will be to provide best practices to clients on how to measure the results of their Bazaarvoice investment, and present with conviction what you see as truly meaningful to drive their business.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze the performance of online, user-generated content, identify trends/best practices, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
Provide Client Services, Sales and Marketing teams with objective measurements of ROI resulting from use of the Bazaarvoice solution.
Leverage your strategic and analytic skills to discover actionable business insights from large data sources in several origins.
Apply various quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze and interpret information from multiple data sources.
Provide continuous education and training by evangelizing the use of web metrics throughout the company and client base.
Be the subject matter expert on web analytics, user experience and behavior, data analysis, and reporting for all Bazaarvoice products.
Work closely with Product Management to drive creation of measurement products that deliver insight into the value that Bazaarvoice provides to clients.
Develop and effectively communicate best practices for analyzing user behavior, configuring web analytics technologies, and interpreting data to a diverse and varying knowledge base of people within the business.
Provide unbiased, timely data and high quality, actionable analyses and recommendations in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Identify case study and white paper opportunities from client success stories.
The Web Analytics Strategist role is demanding and requires exceptional analytical, business and technology skills. We are looking for candidates who are truly passionate about servicing our clients and who have strong analytical skills coupled with industry experience.
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
The ideal Web Analytics Strategist has extensive e-commerce experience and meets the following requirements:
BS/BA degree; MIS majors preferred
Strong knowledge of SQL or mySQL preferred
Minimum of 4 years experience with web analytics tools like IBM Coremetrics, Adobe SiteCatalyst, and Google Analytics
Web analytics experience including measurement, testing, benchmarks, and terminology
Experience in web-based business; Industry experience that includes e-commerce, online business models
Demonstrated analytical background and knowledge of statistical analysis methods
Advanced skills in MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
Outstanding communication and presentation skills require
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; ability to interact with all levels within an organization; previous client-facing responsibility preferred
Attention to detail, highly organized, with an absolute focus on quality of work
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, and be self-sufficient in managing tasks
Positive, self-starter attitude and desire to exceed expectations at every opportunity
