Web Application Designer IJet Intelligent Risk Systems

Summary Description

This position is responsible for developing web applications for government and commercial organizations. The developer will work at iJET to complete projects required, but may be required to commute to government/commercial sites on an as-needed basis.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Translate customer functional requirements, develop web applications to meet satisfy those requirements, and deliver applications on time and within budget.
Education Requirements

4-year degree in a related technology field is desired, but not required. Special consideration will be given to applicants with an advanced degree.
Work Experience

3+ years experience developing web applications.
Skills

- Required

o Expert knowledge of web application technologies, including ASP.NET, PHP, JSP, JavaScript 2.0, ECMAScript 262 R.2.
o Experience with J2EE technologies, including data management platforms.
o Experience in user interface (UI) design.
o Experience in authoring and processing XML.
o Experience in WDSL.
o Solid written and verbal communication skills (position will require frequent communication with other developers and analysts).
- Desired

o Working knowledge of Flex 3 and ActionScript 3.
o Knowledge of ColdFusion, specifically writing CFCs for use by Flex front ends.
o Mash-up experience, including integration third-party interfaces such as Google Maps and Yahoo Weather into Flex interfaces.
o Relational database experience, including SQL.
o Photoshop, Fireworks, or similar technologies for developing graphics/icons to be used in Flex.
