You Are:
A creative Web Application Designer that longs to re-design a mega site that receives over 1 million page views per minute.
What you will be doing:
? Create and implement the visual language and overall look and feel for the hi5.com 2.0 website based on design objectives, product requirements, functional specs, and an iterative feedback process.
? Work with user experience designers and engineers to come up with cutting edge user interfaces to create a truly compelling visual experience for users both domestically and internationally.
? Create engaging, usable, and effective visual design solutions that work to achieve business goals.
? Brainstorm concepts and create visual prototypes via story boards, mockups, or other prototyping tools and present design ideas to stakeholders.
? Know when to have pixel-perfect attention to detail and when to opt for low-fi design to optimize workflow and process.
? Advocate for branding and style consistency across all communication platforms.
What you will need:
? Several years of professional web design experience with an emphasis on creative, visual, and interaction design.
? Strong portfolio is a must; show us you know how to create an experience. Have working examples of well-executed designs that display a thorough understanding of usability principles and how design affects user behavior.
? Ability to collaborate effectively with a group of creative individuals to produce highly polished and professional finished works.
? Ability to articulate current design trends and understand what makes them both compelling and temporary.
? Have a deep understanding of and passion for the social web space.
? Working knowledge of Flash, HTML, and CSS are required. Working knowledge of JavaScript, ActionScript, and/or iOS/Android interface design principles are desirable.
