Work with senior developers and architects on a transaction-critical system with high availability (99.999% uptime).Contribute key features to the growing suite of Web applications and distributed clients (portable widgets) that interact with the Kimbia platform. Make material contributions to products through highly visible, usable, findable features, and key business logic and back-end components.
Use and expand your skills in OO Design and Programming, Java, web frameworks, and distributed clients, including JavaScript implementations.
Apply rock-solid unit testing in both server and browser environments. See your work proven, through frequent releases and focused metrics. Responsibilities include software design, usability and workflow improvements, and level 3 troubleshooting.
Your sharp combination of cross-functional skills, and excellence in a few specialties make you ideal for rapid project team formation. Jump into a tailored agile software development process. We?ve minimized artifacts and removed barriers; you get to write working software.
You will engage in a Whole-Team agile process that emphasizes shared understanding of our business domain. With each iteration, our knowledge deepens and our products further attune to real customer needs.
Required
Core Java experience
Good understanding of OO design practices
2+ years using JavaScript open frameworks
2+ years writing custom JavaScript components
Comfortable with web applications frameworks
Familiarity with SQL, and experience in one or more of the major unit testing and source control systems
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent and 2-3 years related work, or 3-5 years of
Professional product development
JBoss and EJB3
JSF and Seam
RichFaces and other JSF libraries
Persistence experience (JPA/Hibernate, SQL)
JUnit/TestNG/EasyMock
Previous work with JSON APIs
Have used JavaScript open libraries maximally, and written custom JavaScript code to discrete business logic
Experience implementing unobtrusive JavaScript solutions
Understand and apply ?The Good Parts? of the JavaScript language
Familiarity with OWASP
Background in one or more of: usability, HCI, accessibility
