We are seeking an individual experienced in web application development who is highly motivated, dedicated and innovative to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in collaborating with business users and engineering team members. The
candidate will demonstrate a proven, verifiable track record in designing, building and supporting enterprise web applications. The current
environment includes an Adobe ColdFusion 9 and HTML5 based web architecture with a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 back end.
Key Responsibilities:
? Design, develop, and deliver complex data-driven web applications (internal and external) according to new and existing functional
requirements using ColdFusion 9, HTML5, and SQL Server 2008
? Rapidly prototype new web applications and architectures
? Test web applications on various browsers and provide repeatable test frameworks and methodologies
? Ensure the integrity and accuracy of content on UI-based tools ? responsible for the maintenance of the overall quality and user experience of
web applications across the environment
? Be able to identify technical constraints that would impede development of UI and make recommendations for pragmatic alternatives
? Assist in the development and implementation of standards and best practices for UI
? Work closely with software engineers and DBAs on optimizing and troubleshooting functional and performance issues rendered in the user
interface
? Evaluate the merits/ benefits of available UI upgrades and enhancements
? Work with business analysts and other users to gather requirements, provide feedback, and assist with writing functional and technical
specifications
? Develop and maintain install kits to release code to different targeted environments
? Participate in support functions for Engineering including day-to-day support and mentoring of other engineers and end users
? Provide technical support for 24x7 SaaS production environment
Required Skills/Background/Experience:
The candidate should have intermediate UI development skills. The candidate should have familiarity with various other technologies and tools
as well. It is critical that the candidate have strong problem-solving and communication skills and the willingness and flexibility to work well as
part of a team.
? 3+ years of hands-on web application design and development experience with ColdFusion 7+ or other web-based technologies
? Understand the architecture of clients, servers, and Internet systems including security aspects such as form authorization and membership
and roles
? Experience developing and tuning ad-hoc queries using TSQL in SQL Server 2008 including complex stored procedure development in a
large OLTP environment (or similar relational database experience)
? Have an in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions
? BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Additional Experience Considered a Plus:
? Experience in HealthCare technology and data
? Working knowledge or experience with web services
? Strong understanding of CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
? Experience with mobile application development
? Experience with Photoshop, Snagit, or other image editing and screen capture tools to assist with mockups
? Experience with enterprise-class report development using Cognos, SQL Server Reporting Services, or other
? Programming experience in 4gl language (e.g. C, C++, Java, VisualBasic, VB.Net, Perl)
? Experience working with VLDBs (1TB+)
? Knowledge of database administration as it relates to optimization of web page and content rendering
