InComm, the global leader in prepaid and payment solutions, is seeking a full time Web Content Writer to join our in-house creative agency. We create and service over 70 properties that span web, social and mobile for over 40 brands. We work with the biggest names in gaming, music, gift, wireless, retail and more plus we have over a dozen brands of our own that need a voice online.
The Web Content Writer will work with an award-winning team of web designers, brand managers, art directors, digital strategists and public relations managers to expose our brands and reach our consumers. They must posses writing techniques that are unique to online content writing, however a thorough knowledge of standard writing practices is necessary. From captivating headlines and calls-to-action to meta tags and keyword finesse, the web content writer should have the ability to weave the story of our brands in front of the world and behind the scenes.
Writing projects will include but are not limited to:
Financial based cardholder websites
Creative micro-sites for campaigns
Mobile sites and mobile applications
Blogs or ezines
Online ad campaigns
Creating various content for SEO purposes (meta keyword and description tags, alt text, titles)
Edit print documents for publication online
Proof read web pages
Participate in usability testing
Evaluate sites for readability, legibility, findability and credibility
Conduct interview with various clients (in-house and external)
Must have a strong understanding of Information Architecture
A distinct ability to write for SEO
A talent for writing microcontent
Knowledge of basic HTML and XML is a plus
Develop an engaging, active, unique tone for each brand
Write content that tells a story and is easily digested by users
Embrace the use of bulleted lists
Working knowledge of Content Management Systems
Must be able to accommodate the restrictions that come with writing for a CMS like character count limitations.
Must be highly organized, have an obsessive attention to detail and have a self-starter personality.
Must be able to write for multiple ? and sometimes contrasting ? brands at a time.
Communicate effectively with clients, art directors and business owners
5-10 years experience
Bachelors degree in Journalism, English or other applicable mass communication disciplines
