The Web Designer/Developer contract position is responsible for performing front-end Web design and development for the Availity Sharepoint career portal. This includes developing original graphics and content information management to seamlessly transition users through each web page via in an engaging, intuitive way. He/she will lead all stages of the Web development life cycle from the initial concept, including gathering requirements and conducting stakeholder interviews, to the design, development, and deployment of content/functionality for the Sharepoint site. He/she will transition relevant knowledge to and work closely with the Sharepoint site administrator (non-technical resource) to publish/maintain web pages once developed.
Develop, organize and publish content for the Availity employee portal.
Enhance existing Sharepoint web pages and web content according to client requirements.
Work with the client?s Creative Writing team to translate written content into an elegantly designed web based format
Develop interactive user tools/ functionality based on client specifications (e.g., Career Portal tools for exploring career options, accessing job descriptions, conducting self-assessment and generating reports)
Incorporate video files into the Sharepoint site
Create and assemble compelling graphics and images to enhance the website presentation.
Provide a simple, consistent and intuitive design to unify the end-to-end website user experience
Consult/train client?s site administrator on procedures for maintaining content once the engagement is complete
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS (Required)
Minimum of 6+ years of web application development and design, preferably utilizing newer .NET technologies such as MVC, ASP.NET, C# WCF, WWF, and Entity Framework
Well-versed in developing SharePoint based business solutions using out of the box, customization and configuration techniques. SharePoint 2010
Strong analytical and design skills
Ability to deliver results quickly and iteratively via an Agile Development process
Strong consulting / interpersonal skills.
Experience and patience working with non-technical clients to develop web sites.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION (Required)
Bachelor?s Degree in the field of computer science or equivalent.
