Web Designer LeadPages
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED You probably haven?t worked with anyone like us us before. We?re a Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN based startup that?s changing the way businesses do marketing, lead generation, and conversion rate optimization online. With a growing team that works closely together, we move fast and enjoy what we do. Launched in January of 2013, we now have over 15,000 customers.
Come join the fun and build something big with us.
Simply put, this position is about creating innovative graphics, gorgeous web pages, and intelligent branding.
So here?s the deal?
In just over a year, and with a very small team and few resources, LeadPages has generated millions in revenue and has released game changing innovations; we?re the first company to apply ?big data? approaches and ?network effect? thinking to post-click marketing (don?t worry if you don?t understand what this means: we?ll explain it during our interview).
We are (humbly) considered a thought leader in our space because we precisely skated to where the puck was going before anyone else left the bench.
Thanks to visionary leadership, our dedicated team, and a truly astonishing road map, LeadPages? growth potential is huge.
The last 12 months have been amazing, our product?s impact is swelling and the LeadPages? ground floor is practically quaking.
To accelerate our growth, LeadPages just raised a Series A round of funding from some of the best and most well-known early stay venture capitalists in the world. We?re doubling the size of our team and we?re going to lock in our leadership position over the next 12-18 months.
Now, our small-but-fantastic team needs a stellar Web Designer.
To love this role, here?s the type of person you are:
You are passionate about leaving your mark on the web for all to see, while working closely with an incredible team of habitual ass-kickers.
You?re always looking for ways to create simplicity out of complexity.
Your design work is elegant, efficient, inspiring to others, and very ?web 3.0.?
You have an intuitive grasp of how design relates to the consumer experience.
Critical discussion about design, whether it?s your work or that of your colleagues, is always fun to you because ideas improve when tested.
You get excited about blending compelling narrative and data using appropriate visualizations.
New design patterns and UI treatments are always on your radar.
You are able to defend your design decisions yet be flexible enough to consider other alternatives.
You know great UX/UI when you see it and be able to explain what makes it great.
You enjoy polishing your designs as much as you enjoy releasing and then iterating on them.
You are always asking how you can improve your designs to positively affect the user experience.
You have a unique combination of skills, talents, and mindset, including:
Professional experience designing for consumer and/or commercial web sites and/or applications
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Pixel-perfect attention to detail; no details are too small or insignificant
A proven track record and a passion for designing compelling user experiences
Strong visual design skills, including an eye for good typography, composition, and use of color
Ability to create world-class mockups, wireframes, and style guides
Fluency in web commerce usability principles and techniques
Solid intuition of best practices and tools used in user-centered interaction design
Experience designing and debugging UI and web workflows
Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and communicate progress and expected milestones
Prototyping tool experience (Axure, Dreamweaver, etc.)
Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for the mobile devices
What?s the plan?
Flex your design skills, incorporating the LeadPages aesthetic into everything you create
Conceptualize new and existing features for LeadPages products
Create simple and elegant designs for maximum user engagement
Translate requirements into concepts and designs
Develop and contribute to wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
Visualize complex sets of data in ways that are easy to comprehend
Develop wireframes and write specs for UI and workflow
Participate in the planning process for new features and projects
Assist in the development and evaluation of personas, user stories, and usability studies
Develop and iterate on concepts for web, mobile, and tablet design experiences in a fast-paced team environment
Develop interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience.
Refine your designs, considering live customer data, market research, and usability studies
Work with a top-notch engineering team to implement solutions based on your design
