We?re looking to add an amazing web designer to our team.
Who You Are
You are an experienced web designer who wants to join us in creating a suite of consumer-facing products that transform the way people find and sustain love online and offline.
By web designer we mean someone who is both a front-end developer and a visual designer, someone who wants to play the role of seamlessly bridging these two aspects of product development. You geek out about web UI.
You love ? and know how to craft - beautiful web and mobile products that real people use. You are as comfortable crafting gorgeous photoshop templates as you are refining and maintaining stylesheets to align with a core product styleguide. You are a perfectionist, in the best sense of the word. You are driven to build the most beautiful and best performing web and mobile experiences in the world.
You have:
Strong understanding of web standards old, new, and proposed. You know the differences between XHTML and HTML, and CSS 2 and 3, and how well they work in all browsers.
Several years of experience building front-end interfaces for high-performing web applications, with an emphasis on visual fidelity and web performance.
Experience in creating, managing and maintaining pixel-perfect style guides for robust websites.
Several years experience prepping graphic assets
Intimate knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
A web-based resume marked up in semantic HTML.
The Job
You will ensure that our products look gorgeous and perform optimally. This includes some visual design work, asset preparation, styleguide maintanence, and HTML and CSS coding. You will play a critical role on our team in ensuring that design and development align around a common, highly consistent, performant style.
You will work across our product suite ? including our dating and couples applications, both desktop and mobile.
