Mindspark Interactive is looking for a passionate, curious, detail oriented Designer to join the Marketing Design team. In this role, you will be an integral voice in creative brainstorming sessions. HOW YOU CAN HELP US
Create a variety of flash ad units for our suite of consumer products
Create landing page designs and assets, then assemble the pages using our proprietary publishing platform
Design email and marketing offer pages, optimize banner ads and create other marketing materials
Collaborate with writers and marketers on test concepts
Work to optimize/adjust ad units from outside freelancers/contractors (as needed)
SKILLS IN YOUR TOOLBOX
3+ years experience in multimedia and a visual portfolio including examples of Flash work
Strong Flash background, including animation and optimization for web performance and file size
Solid Adobe CS5 knowledge, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
Intermediate understanding of ActionScript
General understanding of capabilities and constraints of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Good eye for typography and layout
Excellent communication skills
Eye for detail, diligent work habits and self-editing skills
Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Positive attitude and sense of humor
BONUS POINTS GIVEN IF YOU HAVE?
Formal design training or BA/BS degree in Web Design
Illustration and animation experience
Familiarity with the latest software and web technologies
Keen awareness of current design, cultural, and web trends
UI design experience (give yourself two extra points for this one)
Experience with online or direct marketing/advertising
Paid your dues in the world of freelance or contract employment
