Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.



Develop and maintain corporate web related systems, comprised of both Intranet and Internet sites

Analyze, design and develop websites using PHP, HTML, javascript, CSS and MySQL

Work with the development team to customize our WordPress CMS installations

Build new features into the sites using third party APIs

Capture data and send through the corporate CRM integration layer

Works with Marketing Managers to ensure consistency of message and branding on all Intranet and Internet Web sites

Produce internal/external documentation of Web site information architecture and code

Oversee the maintenance and editing of corporate owned web sites

Work with various SEO/SEM teams to implement recommendations or guidelines

Monitor program Web site traffic ? provide reports

Monitor security of corporate and program web sites

Examine program Web site design for strengths and weaknesses as related to user experience and information security

Ensure that security and backup of course web sites, tools, and student/user information are executed

Ability to establish positive working relationships with multiple disciplines of Information technology departments and staff levels

Demonstrated ability to respond to business issues with the appropriate sense of urgency

Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and assignments

Excellent communication/presentation skills



Technical Skills

Degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

3-5 years Wordpress or other related open source content management system experience

3-5+ years solid experience in object-oriented analysis/design

3-5+ years of website development experience with an emphasis towards designing and developing internet e-commerce applications or consumer facing data collection applications

3 years systems analysis experience, including requirements gathering, functional design, and technical design

Development experience in PHP, HTML, CSS, javascript, XML, XSLT

Experience setting up and maintaining Wordpress / LAMP servers

Apache web server, MySQL database server, -NIX operating systems experience

Knowledge of user interface/web usability and information architecture principles

Working knowledge of web browser technology, features, and functionality

Knowledge of MySQL/MS-SQL, familiarity with design and architecture of relational databases

Experience with system, unit and integration testing of web applications
