Responsibilities
The Web Developer/Designer is our webmaster and would be responsible for the following duties:
Site Management: Ensuring our corporate website infrastructure is sound, manage the content of the site, work to refine the site for optimum user experience, add new pages and content as necessary, add functionality to increase user experience, work with marketing to add in graphics and rich media, and respond to user comments as necessary
Site Analytics: Monitor site analytics, notify marketing team of trends and/or concerns, work to identify areas of focus
Site Design: Creation and implementation of artwork for promotional campaigns for online advertising, site banners and icons, external emails, creative template development for campaign landing pages, and updates to text content
User Interface: Assist in designing online pages and interfaces optimized for usability
SEO: Researching keywords, monitoring SEO rankings, ensuring the site is optimized for SEO in order to result in the highest search rankings
SEM: Manage and refine our Google AdWord campaigns
Campaign Emails: Work within our marketing automation tool (Marketo) to set up and refine our marketing and customer email templates, refine code for optimum rendering in email clients, and test new designs
Campaign Landing Pages: Set up email and SEM campaign landing pages, refine for usability and testing
Interface with IT: Work with IT to ensure our forms are working correctly, the backend and frontend are compatible, and help define requirements for changes
Social Media: Help maintain and monitor our social media strategy and sites, work with marketing to increase our social outreach and add announcements as necessary
Survey and Other Online Tools: Manage our online survey and webinar tools, handle the setup for online webinars, build the functionality for surveys, and work to ensure connectivity between these tools and Marketo
CMS Management: Maintain the site CMS system (Mojo Portal)
Online Advertising: Possible role to assist in developing banner ads and other online media ads as necessary
Qualifications
The Web Developer/Designer should have the following skills and experience:
3+ years experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent preferred
Proficiency in the .NET/ASP environment
Strong skills and ability to code within HTML
Strong understanding and ability to develop in front-end scripting such as Javascript, jQuery and XML
Strong knowledge of CSS, ability to develop and maintain design through CSS
Understanding of Flash is a plus
Understanding of CMS systems knowledge of Mojo Portal a plus
Understanding of and ability to manage and optimize sites for SEO, conduct link-building
Soft marketing / media skills
Design: Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator
UI/UX: Understanding of online usability best practices
Understanding of best practices in HTML email construction and rendering
Experience optimizing all elements of website
Experience creating user friendly websites
Ability to work with marketing and have a creative eye
Flexibility to manage quick changes
Ability to think creatively and propose new ideas
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
