Web Developer (front-end focused) Eventful

Responsibilities:

Members of the Front End Engineering team are expected to create valid and standards-compliant code that focuses on delivering the best possible user experience to all of our customers.
Qualifications:

3+ Years Experience - Candidate should have 3+ years of demonstrably successful industry experience using latest web technologies.

Excellent HTML, XHTML, and CSS Experience - Candidate must be able to hand-code to standards without error. Candidate also must possess a deep understanding of keeping code, content, and presentation separated.

Object-oriented JavaScript Programming Experience - Candidate's experience must include class creation, object instantiation and inheritance. Candidate should also have extensive experience with JavaScript frameworks, preferably jQuery.

Server-Side Scripting Experience - Candidate needs to have experience with server-side scripting languages like PHP, Ruby, Python, Perl, etc...

Flash/ActionScript Experience - Candidate's experience with Flash and its associated scripting language (ActionScript) will be a strong plus during fulfillment of this position. Working with Flash would be a very small part of the Candidate's workload and would consist mostly of enhancing, extending and maintaining existing code.

Web Standards & Cross-Browser Compatibility - Candidate must have experience building web applications that support an array of web browsers (Internet Explorer 6, 7 & 8; Firefox; Safari) using the latest web standards and best practices.

Strong Communication Skills - A large part of the candidate's role will be to effectively communicate the importance of standards and best practices to both technical (web application development teams) and non-technical (project management) audiences.

Strong Teamwork Skills - The candidate will be expected to contribute to frameworks and code libraries that we use to standardize our code deliverables. As such the candidate must be able to work closely with other contributors to ensure that their code contributions meet team standards.
