Web Developer - IPTV Applications - Professional Services Minerva Networks

Job Description

Play an integral role in the development of innovative Web-based applications and widgets. As a member of the Professional Services Group, you will be involved in the design, implementation, customization, and maintenance of TV-centric Web-based applications and widgets that run on set-top boxes, smart phones, tablets, and personal computers.

Required Knowledge

Knowledge of XML and server-side scripting with LAMP (Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL) experience.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and client-side scripting with JavaScript experience.
Knowledge of Web Services with experience in SOAP and/or REST APIs.
Experience working with Adobe PhotoShop, and Adobe Flash is desired but not required.
Experience working with iOS or Android is desired by not required.


Required Skills & Abilities

Practical appreciation on how to design and implement consumer-facing Web applications.
Solid understanding of Web technologies and distributed systems.
A high level of customer satisfaction, which exceeds standard levels of performance.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and with small and/or remote teams.
Fast learner, solid problem solver with great testing and debugging skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.


Required Experience

2+ years of personal and professional Web development experience.
BSCS or equivalent experience.
Experience with agile software methodologies is a plus.
