Web Developer Gazelle

Gazelle is looking for someone to join our team and help build innovative web experiences to expand our leadership position in online electronics tradein.
This position in our web development team is responsible for collaborating on and transforming ideas into compelling user experiences. You will play a key role in development of client-side interactivity using popular open-source Javascript frameworks.
Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to define and ensure completeness of features
• Collaborate on system architecture designs
• Write well-tested, reusable JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and supporting view code
• Work with QA to plan and execute testing of new features
• Participate in task/feature estimation
• Provide technical feedback to aid in gathering of requirements
• Participate in knowledge-sharing code reviews

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining high volume multi-tier website applications
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or Spring/JSP
• Familiarity with popular JS libaries like jQuery and Backbone
• Ability to clearly and succinctly express your opinions and ideas
• Confident self-starter capable of setting plans and driving to completion
• Bachelors degree in CS or related field preferred
• Good sense of humor and enjoys teamwork
• Strong design sense
• Familiarity with agile development (Scrum, Kanban) a plus
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services a plus
• Expertise in CSS3/HTML5 definite plus
