The Web Developer will be tasked with creating websites and landing pages for use in nonprofit fundraising campaigns and race event registrations that that optimize and maximize their use of Kimbia. These sites make use of a wide variety of technologies including PHP, jQuery/javascript, SQL, CSS, web services, and content management systems such as WordPress and Joomla. The sites also commonly leverage analytics technologies such as Google Analytics.
The Web Developer is expected to:
Take a website from the design phase to a fully functional, error free website
Consult with prospects, customers and business partners
Design and develop efficient solutions
Track project and cost milestones to consistently achieve customer commitments with minimal supervision
Document solutions for use by customers, business partners and the Kimbia product development and support teams
Communicate Kimbia product issues / opportunities directly to the product development and support teams
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plans, executes, and tests campaign micro-sites and full scale websites.
Actively contributes to the improvement of business operations.
Create best practice, cross-platform CSS for websites and landing pages based upon provided designs.
Modifies and integrates with basic database back-ends to suit the needs of a website.
Creates fully functioning and well documented code that meets all documented requirements.
Thoroughly tests any developed sites to ensure functionality and error free deployment.
Incorporates other developers? existing code where applicable to speed up development cycles.
Works independently to develop components in their entirety.
Supports additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience working in a professional environment coding in SQL, PHP, jQuery/javascript and CSS2 are a must. CSS3, HTML5 & responsive design principles are an added plus.
Experience with SQL should include the creation of tables as well as simple insert, update, and select queries.
A detailed understanding of the PHP page life cycle, variable scope, and classes is required.
Experience integrating PHP with MSSQL, MySQL, restFUL API?s and outside web services is a must.
Detail oriented, responsible and committed to delivering on time without errors or mistakes.
Able to accurately estimate, plan, and quickly execute on assigned tasks within a given timeline.
Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently communicate complex or complicated requirements verbally and in writing to prospects, customers and business partners.
Strong team player, capable of managing multiple projects requiring input from multiple departments, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a similar degree
