Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Webmaster & SEO Expert must be efficient, versatile, and task oriented.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include:
Optimize on-site content for maximum visibility and ranking in the major search engines; this includes HTML, site structure, as well as page layout and navigation considerations
Control naming conventions and linking conventions of web pages, images, and multimedia files
In-bound link development from relevant sites and directories
Perform information gathering services including technical website analysis, competitive/keyword research, and link analysis
Work closely with lead generation manager to manage and implement online advertising campaigns
Identify and implement innovative SEO strategies
Perform content maintenance and updates
Develop site features/functionality
Perform quality assurance testing on new websites/microsites
Monitor, review, and update web site traffic reports
Monitor and report on monthly campaigns and statistical analysis
Test and track landing page optimization and other conversion strategies
Develop design briefs by gathering information and data through research
Think creatively to produce new ideas and design concepts
Work with a wide rage of media, including photography and video
Contribute innovative ideas and page design to the Marketing department
Monitor and maintain community content, pages, and functionality
Administrate community updates, groups, and access levels
Build new pages on community site to accommodate growth
Qualifications / Necessary Skills:
Extensive experience in website design (portfolio required)
Minimum 5 years experience in website development
Experience in building and maintaining online communities (portfolio required)
A strong SEO background
Excellent interpersonal skills including strong verbal, listening, and written communication
Proven experience using graphics and web development tools including Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark Xpress, FreeHand, 3D Studio, Acrobat, Director, and Flash. Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced team environment
Demonstrated ability, working knowledge, and strong programming experience in web 2.0 technologies and experience with Jive is a big plus!
Proficient with CSS-P and CSS 2.0
Ability to produce highly impressive creative web design in a timely manner
Ability to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member
Excellent attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to changes
Ability to operate under pressure and meet or exceed deadlines
Excellent project management skills
Experience in search engine optimization with proven ability to achieve top search engine rankings
Knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies a plus
Knowledge of best practices for organic search engine optimization including knowledge of search engine spiders and search engine ranking factors a plus
Education:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent from an accredited college or university
