FUNCTION:
Will support marketing efforts by designing and maintaining marketing materials for Author Solutions brands. In this role, the individual designs and implements communication that supports business objectives and goals of assigned brands. This individual will work closely with members of the marketing department, sales, IT and fulfillment to ensure continuity in messaging and company goals. Accountable for adherence to, and promotion of, company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team member. Thrives in a collaborative environment but also able to work and think independently. Have a mindset that allows for strategic thinking about the business and its performance. Work in a fast-paced, creative atmosphere and respond quickly to changing needs and be flexible to meet tight deadlines or make last-minute changes to existing work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities:
E-mail Marketing Creative
Develop compelling graphics under deadline to support sales promotions
Make recommendations about how to improve graphics to enhance open
rates and click through
Stay abreast of best practices for e-mail optimization
Code (HTML) e-mail designs and platform/e-mail client test for compatibility
Revise content and layout as needed
Website Creative
Develop image ads and graphics to specifications and help drive leads and conversions
Communicate through visual presentation the essences of the brands
Use best practices when delivering assets to ensure work is optimized for the
Web and its users
Recommend ideas for new content that would enhance or improve current state
Browser test new content in supported browsers and adjust code based
on presentation in various browsers aiming for the best degradation
Stay informed of new developments in the Web and related technologies
Represent the marketing department in group meetings
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to help facilitate the timely
completion of projects
Maintain assets in an organized and coherent fashion
Communicate regularly to the management team as to status of projects in
process, deadlines and obstacles

WORKING CONDITIONS

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. core schedule with frequent flexibility for start and ending times. Additional hours and/or overtime depending on position and needs of the business may be required.
