Organizational OverviewMoishe House provides meaningful Jewish experiences for young adults around the world by supporting leaders in their 20's as they create vibrant home-based Jewish communities. We are the largest, international organization serving the young adult constituency (ages 22-30) and have 50 houses in 14 countries around the world. Our headquarters are based in Oakland, California.
Essential Job Duties
The Web Programmer/IT Associate should have an expert understanding of dynamic, data-driven web applications and be able to hand-code solutions that fulfill complex requirements. He/She will have the skills necessary to do front-end design (with support from our graphic artist), front-end scripting, and back end programming. This entails the following abilities: generate intermediate-level graphics, design visually-pleasing web pages, analyze database (SQL) data and structure, and have the ability to quickly comprehend emerging technologies. Also important is the ability to fully understand and re-communicate customer requirements and work independently and proactively. Must be able to handle IT questions and problems as they arise and make recommendations on technology to help the organization grow effectively.

VBScript (.asp, active server pages, Classic ASP...these all mean the same thing),
JavaScript
HTML
DHTML(Dynamic HTML)
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
SQL (Structured Query Language)
Website Configuration and Setup (domains, hosting, server technologies...etc.)
Skills Desired:
Data connection, query/mining, manipulation, and formatted display
Database creation, backup, copy, and management (mySQL)
Graphics Design. Ability to create/manipulate graphics (buttons, pictures, banners)
Business Process Analysis (able to understand/interpret the business system and components)
Effective clear communication with all levels of company hierarchy in a timely manner
Ability to multitask
