Summary: What?s this job about?
As a top-notch Web Program Manager, you?ll help re-architect our website to catch the attention of marketers from the world?s leading IT vendors, and most importantly, keep them engaged! In this role, you?ll own www.spiceworks.com/marketing, drive it to the next level, and craft it into an unstoppable demand gen channel. You?ll be a key member of our growing demand generation team and coordinate closely with folks running programs via other channels. You?ll also work side-by-side with talented creative and tech teams to help you fully optimize the web channel. Best of all: You?ll have a blast every step of the way!
Responsibilities
Act as the go-to lead for all things web on the Vendor Marketing team ? a product and program manager for the website experience and dedicated site section for IT vendors
Manage the website as a demand gen channel, with full accountability for driving web lead acquisition and engagement
Build up traffic and SEO effectiveness like there?s no tomorrow
Drive demand and lead activity via Spiceworks? online products used by IT vendors
Focus fanatically on web conversion and getting the most value from site visitors
Live and breathe website and pipeline analytics to understand traffic patterns, content effectiveness, revenue attribution and ROI
Drive A/B, multivariate testing and other activities to optimize web program performance
Qualifications
You?re an experienced web pro and have 3-5 years of experience making your web properties perform as a channel for demand gen.
Demand Generation ? More than a webmaster, you?ve focused heavily on making pages and sites drive conversions, engagement and activity that measurably contribute to revenue and pipeline.
Analytics ? You know Google Analytics like the back of your hand and have in-depth experience with other web analytics platforms such as SiteCatalyst or Coremetrics. You know how to use analytics to answer the questions that?ll help you make your web property a more effective demand gen channel.
Conversion ? You?re deeply experienced in the art and science of maximizing conversion and are well versed at driving site visitors to action.
Traffic Building ? You know how to attract and grow relevant visitors via paid, partner and organic sources.
Testing & Optimization ? You?re an expert at optimizing copy, visual and other elements to drive the best website performance using tools like Optimizely, Google Website Optimizer / Content Experiments and others.
Creative Judgment ? While you?re an analytical animal, you?ve also got intuition and experience driving copy, design and information architecture for an overall great user experience.
