Visible Technologies, a Social Media Analytics Company, located in Bellevue, WA, is hiring a select few Software Engineers to help build the next generation of our enterprise-class software. We?re creating massively distributed, scaled-out systems that may support data sets in the petabyte range.At this time, we?re not able to offer relocation or sponsorship ? you must be legally allowed to work for any employer in the US.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in OOP JavaScript, comfortable with Javascript design patterns such as the module and observer.
Experience with JQuery, JQuery UI, and JQuery UI widget development.
Experience developing web applications supporting multiple browsers using HTML/CSS.
Experience with CSS3, SVG, and HTML5 canvas is a plus.
Proficiency in JAVA or C# development languages.
Comfortable with CS fundamentals such as: algorithm complexity/efficiency analysis, concurrency, data structures, design patterns, computer architecture, generics, lamda expressions, networking.
Exposure to rapid application development frameworks like Spring, ASP.NET MVC 3, Django, ActiveRecord, Castle, Java Persistence API, etc.
Experience supporting a high-volume customer facing web application (ecommerce, SAS, etc).
Understands the concept of ?delivering business value? and can prioritize work appropriately
Exposure to any/all of the following: relational data modeling, multi-dimensional modeling (OLAP), map/reduce algorithm design, general algorithm design.
Experience with one or more a plus: high availability applications; distributed, redundant data storage and processing; service-oriented architecture; machine learning, data mining.
Experience in Agile and Scrum software development and working in iterative development life cycles. Comfort with pair programming, XP, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) a plus.
Familiarity with Hadoop, HBase, Lucene, Katta, Bobo a big plus.
BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
