Web UI Developer

Care.com is looking for an experienced Web UI Developer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced development team in a quickly growing company. The position will focus on front-end development for our mobile web experience and core site. The ideal candidate will be able to show examples of past work demonstrating expert knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities
--Collaborate with marketing, product management, and the creative team to understand business requirements and desired front-end functionality
--Provide expert guidance on website user-interface best practices and options
--Perform analysis, design, coding, and unit testing of the front-end of a multi-tiered website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript technologies
--This position will focus heavily on mobile web development in addition to regular project work

Skills/Experience Requirements
--Expert HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills
--A solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues, web standards and best practices
--Experience with mobile web development
--Attentive to details and proven ability to produce high quality work
--Experience writing reusable Object-Oriented JavaScript
--Experience with JavaScript libraries such as Dojo and jQuery
--Knowledge of current web technologies including HTML5 and CSS3
--Experience working in a Java/J2EE website development environment a plus
--Must possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
--Excellent time management skills and ability to take responsibility for deliverables
--Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
--Excellent oral and written communication skills
--Ability to work independently and in a team environment
--Hands on experience with both Windows and Linux

Education/Other Pre-requisites
--BA/BS in computer science or related field desired.
--2+ years of experience working on a production website in a team environment.
