Website Designer TOA Technologies
The Website Designer uses advanced graphic design skills with HTML, Flash, javascript and Adobe Creative Suite and more to create website and landing pages, banner ads, email templates and more.
S/he oversees the day-to-day management of a variety of online marketing efforts, including the company website ? http:/toatech.com ? as well as a repository of available online content such as video, PDF files, etc.
The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience with WordPress or a similar CMS, and be well versed in building search engine optimized (SEO) website pages. To be considered for this position, you will be required to submit a portfolio of previous website design/development for review.
In addition, s/he will work with a variety of individuals, inside and outside of the company, so excellent communications skills are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Translate graphical concepts into website and landing pages, banner ads, email templates and more using a variety of software tools and technologies
Incorporate a variety of graphical elements into design projects, including Flash, video, audio, animation, imagery and text
Work closely with graphic designer, creative agency, marketing staff and others to ensure efforts are consistent, accurate and supporting company goals
Correct issues that arise with website performance including content, link or form errors, database interaction
Continually update and plan for future changes to the website
Monitor analytics to continually improve functionality across all browsers, enhance the end-user experience and improve search engine ranking
Manage and provide accurate reporting to support Web marketing campaigns
Follow and help to evolve the brand and style guidelines
Stay current with techniques and tools used for Web development and online marketing
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in design, art, communications, or relevant discipline
Three years of website design experience in an agency and/or corporate setting
Proven website management experience
Advanced ability in HTML, Flash, CSS and javascript
Relevant graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite
Skilled at using Web standards and maintaining cross-browser compatibility
Practice incorporating SEO best practices into Web design efforts
Experience with WordPress or a comparable CMS system
Knowledge of design and programming standards for mobile devices
Superior people skills, easily able to connect and work with anyone
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Master?s degree in design, art, communications or relevant discipline
Five years of website design experience in an agency and/or corporate setting
Technology and/or B2B industry experience
Social media background/experience
Travel
Up to five percent, which can include, but isn?t limited to, continuing education conferences, trade shows, retained creative agency and other events.
