Working from our corporate headquarters in New York City and new dynamic warehouse location in Shepherdsville, Kentucky the Operations team works in conjunction with Marketing, Merchandising, and Engineering to ensure that the customer receives a first-rate experience shopping on our site.
Due to our continuous growth, we have added a weekend shift. The maintenance apprentice is responsible for the completion of the day-to-day activities, involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery including HVAC, building lighting systems, conveyor systems, distribution center equipment, and overall facility appearance on the weekend shift. The shift for this position will be 4/10-hour shifts, Saturday ? Tuesday, day shift hours.
Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
Maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.
Arrange for and manage, appropriate third-party contractor support, as needed.
Enforce sound safety and housekeeping practices including lockout/tagout procedures.
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain distribution center equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of distribution center equipment during production
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Learn basic logic and programming techniques for systems and sensors.
Keeps in compliance with and abreast of all OSHA regulations.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
? Demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abilities.
? Ability to manage multiple complicated priorities/tasks.
? Computer proficient
? Ability to interface with employees at all levels in the organization.
? Demonstrated ability to learn construction and building maintenance.
Requires a minimum of 2 years related experience.
Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience;
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
Certification in OSHA programs and practices preferred
Occasional lifting or moving heavy materials in difficult work positions.

Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations.
Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the distribution center
