Job Duties
Essential - Benefit Administration Duties:
? Administer various employee benefit plans
? Assist with processing of benefit enrollments, terms, and changes
? Assist in the preparation of communications and materials
? Process monthly bills and payments to vendors, including any assigned reconciliation or review processes
? Provide customer service for incoming emails and calls, including 401(k) requests, Worker?s Compensation claims, and basic benefit and wellness questions
? Be able to present and discuss benefit plan information with employees
? Maintain confidentiality and privacy of employee health and benefit information
Wellness Program Coordination Duties:
? Administer various employee wellness programs
? Coordinate wellness activities and events in all offices, including planning, preparation, promoting, distributing materials, and recording attendance
? Assist in the preparation of communication and event materials
? Be able to present and discuss wellness programs information with employees
? Maintain confidentiality and privacy of employee health and benefit information
? Maintain wellness data tracking system with completion and attendance data
? Produce reports on wellness activity attendance and participation, benefit plan enrollment, deductions and plan participation
? Prepare and maintain department-related reporting including, but not limited to, bill tracking, incentive points records, and event summaries
? Work closely with Wellness Program Manager to provide feedback, analyze participation, and make recommendations about possible program changes to support ongoing organizational needs
? Act as advocate for employees and work with wellness vendors to solve administration and claims issues
? Plan and coordinate wellness activities with Marathon Health Center, including scheduling, communication, and participation data
? Process monthly bills and payments to wellness vendors, including any assigned reconciliation or review processes
? Build relationships and work with cross-departmental project teams
? Other projects and assignments as provided by management
Requirements
Skills:
Essential -
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
? Knowledge of employee wellness, benefit plans and administration
? Strong computer skills, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
? Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
? Professional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
? Accurate, organized, detail-oriented
? Fits company and team culture
Non-essential -
? Basic understanding of ERISA, HIPAA, federal and tax laws pertaining to wellness plans and benefit administration
? Basic understanding of other HR areas including salary and payroll
? Experience with Access, Publisher
Experience & Education:
Essential-
? 4 or more years in a professional employment environment
? Work experience or education in benefits administration, employee wellness, health promotion or education, HR or other related field
Non-essential -
? Bachelor?s degree preferred, with strong performance in higher-level math, science, or health classes to demonstrate analytical ability
? Project management experience or certification
? Communication or marketing experience
? Event planning & coordination
? Background in health or medical field
