Aerohive is expanding its engineering team in order to serve its growing customer base. This software engineer position will have the opportunity to wear multiple hats, and the chance to take on the toughest challenges. With a fast growing company, you will be a major contributor to the team, working on leading edge technology, building software development experience, and working with a group of enthusiastic people just like you. The position may require travel to our China R&D center occasionally.Qualifications:
BS/MS EE/CS/CE along with a minimum of 5 years of work experience
Master of C programming, hands on software development experience, working knowledge of:
Familiar with 802.11 WiFi protocol suite
Rich hands on experience with implementing WiFi driver code.
Hands on Linux kernel coding experience
Excellent new feature design and solid coding skills
Knowledge of the following is a plus:
Embedded multi-core OS software development
TCP/IP networking protocols (layer 2, 3 and 4-7)
Network security
Must have solid problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to find your own way out of the woods for technical challenges
Architectural skills desired (portability, modularity, & implement/design) - "Good programmers know what to write, great ones know what to rewrite (and reuse)."
Can-do attitude and team player are a must
